New Waxy Tomb tracks are always a welcome thing in my book and “One Face/Z-Axis” is no exception. As always, the heavily-processed, inhuman nature to the mostly-spoken vocals sucks me in. Robotics entrance the listener while ghostly electronics and looped howls turn the gears propelling the track forward. The voice in the machine continues to come alive with scattered rhythms attacking the mainframe, cracking the outside case to get into the electronic guts. I continue to need more Waxy Tomb in my life.
