The Sacred Music of G. I. Gurdjieff

gurdjieff-sacredSo this is basically just a blog post that’s going to link to another blog post, but this recording is so compelling that I had to throw something up there.  The awesome Love All Day blog put this up a few days ago and it’s been haunting my every move since it seems.

Carolyn Margrete is a pianist, composer and teacher who has been associated with the performance and study of the music of Gurdjieff for more than 20 years. For this recording she has chosen pieces which she particularly relates to and feels express the unusual qualities of this sacred music.

It’s enchanting and magical in so many ways.  Really beautiful.

Get over to Love All Day to download it or do one better and order a cassette copy from Carolyn Magrete.
