Pilotpriest “The Last Goodbye”

pilotpriest-thelastgoodbyeWith the rise of nostalgia-heavy synth acts like Perturbator, I’m always surprised I don’t read/hear more about the mighty Pilotpriest. His Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album is colossal, but over the summer he’s been releasing digital singles at random intervals with the latest being “The Last Goodbye.” Pilotpriest is Anthony Scott Burns and he seemingly always knows which buttons to push in order to draw out just enough emotion to hook the listener.  Climbing synth arpeggios glide through streets lit only by glowing halogen lamps over head.  Fists are thrown in the air as tears dry on the ground with Pilotpriest leaving nothing but debris in his wake.  “The Last Goodbye” is one to remember.
